LG details Ice Cream Sandwich update for its smartphones
Now that a few manufacturers have already detailed Android 4.0 update for their devices, LG seems to be standing in the queue to be yet another company bringing some anticipated software news to its customers.
Announced through Facebook page, LG’s Ice Cream Sandwich update will be rolled out starting in the second quarter of 2012 and will be followed by further upgrades coming in Q3.
As far as devices getting the update in the second quarter are concerned, these are the following: LG Optimus 2X, Prada 3.0, Optimus Sol, myTouch Q, Eclipse, and the Optimus LTE. Next, around a month later, the following smartphones will get an opportunity to taste the Ice Cream Sandwich served by Google: LG Optimus Big, Optimus Q2, Optimus EX, Optimus 3D, and the Optimus Black.
LG hasn’t yet announced when its devices offered by specific carriers ( including AT&T Thrill 4, T-Mobile G2x ) will be getting the update, but we can expect it to happen a bit later than the upgrade heading to the unbranded phones listed above.
